Corporate Volunteering Academy Webinar 1: Building your volunteering policy
What? A free lunch webinar that kicks off the Give a Day Corporate Volunteering Academy. Our first topic: how to build a corporate volunteering policy that works in real life, not just on paper.
Why? Most companies don't struggle to offer the opportunity to organise volunteering days. They struggle to get people to use them. And that's rarely about goodwill: your employees want to help. What gets in the way is usually hidden in the policy itself. A request process nobody quite understands. Line managers who aren't on board. A launch email, and then silence. The good news: these are things you can fix.
What can you expect?
- A first look at the Academy: what we're building, how the sessions fit together, and how you can shape what comes next
- The building blocks of a strong policy: the questions every company needs to answer, and where most policies get stuck
- Time to learn from each other: real examples and experiences from Give a Day partners and peers who've been there, and room for your own questions
Who is it for? HR, CSR and people & culture professionals who are building or improving a volunteering programme. Just starting out or already up and running, you're welcome either way. This session is for companies only, so you can talk openly with peers facing the same challenges.
When? Tuesday 27 October, 12:00 to 13:00, via Microsoft Teams. Bring your lunch, we'll bring the content.
The Corporate Volunteering Academy is where companies learn how to make volunteering work: from the first idea to a programme your employees actually use.
