Move and connect with people with dementia

Armonea Heiberg, located in Beerse, is a residential care center featuring a specialized, secure unit for people living with dementia.

Throughout the month of September, they are organizing a large-scale movement project aimed at fostering meaningful connections between residents and the Beerse community. As employees of J&J, we are proud to be a part of this local ecosystem.

On September 11, we will join forces to provide these residents with an engaging day outdoors. You will be responsible for one-on-one assistance - whether walking side-by-side, cycling, or assisting those in wheelchairs.

09:00 | Warm welcome: introduction to the day’s activities

09:30 | Preparation: assisting residents in getting ready to head outside.

10:00 | Community walk: going outside with the residents to discover Beerse area togethe (walking, biking...)

12:00 | Lunch provided on-site for all volunteers.
