Guide students during the Ekoli STEM schools expo at the Winter circus

Ekoli vzw is organizing a large-scale STEM schools expo on Thursday, October 29 for primary school students, as part of the FTI Festival at the Winter Circus in Ghent. Through an interactive experience market, workshops, and escape rooms focused on biotech, food tech, AI, and robotics, around 800 students will be immersed in the world of science and innovation.

For such an ambitious day, enthusiastic volunteers are essential! You will help ensure that students find their way, actively participate, and return to the classroom with excitement and curiosity.

📌 An online briefing session will be organized in advance for all volunteers, so you can start the day well prepared.

09:00 | Welcome of volunteers + internal briefing

09:30 | Doors open, welcome students and guide groups to the correct workshops

10:00 | Start of the expo:

• Facilitating workshops (±20 students per workshop; themes: biotech, food tech, AI, robotics, STEM)
• Resetting escape rooms between sessions
• Inspiring students to engage with science and innovation

12:00 | Lunch break

13:00 | Continuation of the expo

16:00 | Expected end of the day
