Biking fun together! [DUTCH SPEAKERS ONLY]

On June 2nd, you can give the residents of vzw Intesa in Kuringen a wonderful day!

At the residential home De Meidoorn, a warm home for 27 residents with physical disabilities, a bike ride with adapted “plateau bikes” is being organized.

Thanks to these specially adapted bikes, residents who use wheelchairs can enjoy a ride through the green surroundings of Kuringen. Together with regular caregivers and J&J volunteers, we will enjoy a day full of movement, nature, and social fun.

Our residents love interacting with others, and this activity offers them a unique opportunity to meet new people and fully enjoy themselves.

We are happy to borrow extra plateau bikes from the region to include as many residents as possible.

You will take part in an unforgettable day full of cycling adventures, social encounters, and fun in nature.

9:30 | Welcome and introduction

10:00 | Start of activities: the group will be split into two:

• One group starts with a bike ride with the residents through the beautiful Kuringen countryside.
• The other group participates in an activity to be determined: a cooking workshop or an entertainment activity with the residents.

12:00 | Shared lunch with everyone

13:00 | Continuation of activities

-> The groups switch activities (so that everyone gets a chance to cycle)

16:00 | Planned end of the day
