Help create an unforgettable garden party for the clients of CADO Herentals!

CADO Herentals is a day care centre for older adults and people in need of care who wish to continue living independently at home for as long as possible. With the support of family caregivers, volunteers and home care services, this often remains possible. To give family caregivers a well-deserved break, older adults and people in need of care can spend the day at our CADO centre.

On 22 September, we are looking for an enthusiastic team of volunteers to join the CADO Herentals staff in organising a fun and welcoming garden party! While the centre normally welcomes up to 10 participants per day, this special event will bring together around 20 clients for an afternoon filled with good food, music, games and great company.

We are looking for 20 volunteers, so that each volunteer can be paired one-on-one with a client, helping to create a truly memorable day for everyone.

As a volunteer, you will help set up the garden party, support and accompany clients during the activities, prepare and serve the cold buffet, and contribute to a warm and enjoyable afternoon. Live music will also be provided, so a great atmosphere is guaranteed!

Schedule of the day

• 09:00 | Warm welcome and introduction to CADO Herentals and the day's programme
• 09:30 | Meet the clients, set up the garden party and help prepare lunch
• 12:00 | Enjoy the cold buffet together
• 13:00 | Dessert time
• 14:00 | Music, dancing and traditional Flemish games begin
• 16:00 | Help tidy up after the celebration together
• 16:30 | End of the day
