Are you turning 16 this year, or older? Then you're allowed to volunteer.

Do you receive a replacement income (e.g. unemployment or disability benefits)? Then you may have a duty to report this to your paying institution. Be sure to check with your paying institution beforehand about what you need to do to stay compliant while receiving your replacement income.
