Your company offers volunteering days. Your employees want to help. And yet those days go unused. Sound familiar? Then the first webinar of the Corporate Volunteering Academy is for you. On Tuesday 27 October 2026, from 12 to 1 pm, we'll explore how to build a volunteering policy that your people actually use. Online and free.

Why do volunteering days go unused?

Most companies have no problem offering volunteering days. They just can't get their people to actually use them.

That is rarely due to a lack of goodwill. The gap between wanting to do something and actually doing it lies mainly in how easy it is to get started. At companies, this is usually hidden in the policy itself:

  • An application process that nobody really understands.

  • Managers who aren't on board.

  • A launch email, followed by silence.

The good news: you can solve this.

What is the Corporate Volunteering Academy?

The Corporate Volunteering Academy is Give a Day's new learning program for companies. You will learn how to make volunteering work: from the initial idea to a program that your employees actually use.

Above all, you'll learn from each other. The Academy is exclusively for companies, so you can talk openly with people facing the same questions as you.

The first webinar is just the start. More sessions will follow, and you help decide what they will be about. So feel free to bring your own questions. For example:

  • How do you get executive management on board, without making it a mandatory tick-box exercise?

  • Hands-on or skills-based: what suits which employee?

  • What does a non-profit really need from your company, and what do you think you're giving?

  • How do you measure what your program delivers, including for your CSRD reporting?

What will you learn in the first webinar?

The first webinar focuses on your volunteering policy. You'll take away three things:

  • A first look at the Academy. What we are building, how the sessions connect, and how you can help shape what follows.

  • The building blocks of a strong policy. The questions every company needs to answer, and where most policy plans get stuck.

  • Time to learn from each other. Real examples from Give a Day partners and peers, and room for your own questions.

Bring your lunch. We'll provide the content.

Who is it for and when?

  • What: Corporate Volunteering Academy, webinar 1: Building your volunteering policy

  • When: Tuesday 27 October 2026, from 12 to 1 pm

  • Where: online, via Microsoft Teams

  • Price: free

  • Language: English

  • Who is it for: HR, CSR, and people & culture professionals building or improving a volunteering program. Beginners and advanced users are welcome.

  • Exclusively for companies, so you can speak openly with peers.

One lunch break. A stronger policy.

You don't need to have a ready-made program to participate. Just getting started? Welcome. Already running a program, but days are going unused? Also welcome.

See you then!
